I always knew that there

must be more to life than

what I already had.

 

When  I heard this message

myself, I discovered an

access into a whole new

dimension of life.

I never even knew it existed!

 

It was literally like walking through an open door into a brand new world.

Old things passed away, and everything became NEW!

 I got a brand new start in my life.

 

You could say that a miracle happened!

 

 

 

 

I began to read the Bible, and found out some amazing things.....

 

God has a plan and purpose for my life  -  a unique reason for my being here.

 

 

 

I learned that God really loves me.

 

He accepts me just as I am.

 

He will not turn me away.

 

He will be the best friend I ever had. 

 

 

Thats why it was easy to hand over my life and future to God.

 

 

This really

 struck me down!

 

 

 

Actually, I was no different to everybody else in the whole world in this matter!

 

 

The Bible says, 'ALL have sinned and come well short of God's standard of holiness.'

 

And then the Bible tells me that our sin has caused a separation between us and God.

 

I was born a sinner, and like everybody else, there was nothing righteous or holy in me.

But the first thing I learned was quite awful.......

I am a

SINNER!

Here's another thing.

 

I learned that time is short, and life is brief.

 

In fact, it seems that time is running out for this whole world.

 

The Bible says that all of us shall one day stand before God, and give account of our lives and actions to Him.

 

 

 

 

'God commands all people everywhere to repent, because ...

               ....He has set a day when He is going to bring this age to a halt, and finally judge the world.'

That day is coming soon!

 

Just look around the world at the things that are taking place right now.

Surely these are the signs of the times we live in.

As I read the Bible I discovered that
there is a heaven, and there is a hell.

The Bible says that both of these
places are very, very real.

One is a place of eternal torment and
dreadful loneliness;
the other, a place of everlasting joy
and eternal happiness!

 

(In fact, it is surprising just how
many films today refer to both of
these places, even if they do not 
explain them properly).

 

Because of my sin, I would not, 
  nor could I ever, 
                           get into heaven.

That made me sit up!

                   I also found out that I have an eternal destiny!

             After I die I will end up going to one place or the other.

 

                  The Bible says that there are no other options or

         in-between places where I might be able to make myself better..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

           My life was weighed in the balances, God's weighing scales,

                          .....and they tipped the wrong way!

 

 

 

        I was going the wrong place!  I needed a destiny change!

But even so, I had no hope
personally of getting my life sorted
out just by trying to be good.

         (I 'd already tried that, and it didn't work!)

 

 

Going to church, becoming
religious, wearing different clothes,
turning over a new leaf

or making resolutions

wins no favours with God.

 

 

It is not by good works I try to do,
because the Bible says that there is
no one who is righteous, -
no, not even one person.

 

 

So what should I do?

The Bible tells me that Jesus Christ is Almighty God!

Yet He came down to this world and showed how much He really loved us.....

 

         by dying on a cross.

 

 

The Bible says, 'The wages of sin is death.'

 

What that means is that sin has its own terrible end  -  DEATH  --  both physical and spiritual  -  eternal death.... a living death!

 

 

'but the gift of God is eternal (everlasting life)'

 

Jesus, who was both holy and innocent, was the only one who could rightly take the judgement and punishment my sin deserved. And He did that when He died on the cross at Calvary.

 

The innocent suffering for the guilty.

Only the blood of Jesus Christ (sinless and pure) could wash away my sin.....

 

                                     forever!

 

 

'The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from ALL sin.'

 

'Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.'

 

 

Its not by works of righteousness (good works) which I might have done, but only because of God's own mercy and grace (goodness and love).

 

 

  What a relief!

 

 

                  But how does it work?

          I mean,........ isn't this amazing?

 

        All God asks me to do is BELIEVE!

       No need to become religious, just
                be honest with God.

 

      The Bible says, Believe on the Lord
     Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved!

 

This Jesus, the Son of God, did not stay dead,
        but rose from the dead, and is alive
                       forever more!

 

 

                          BELIEVE!

But, ........believing...
Is that not all just too easy?
Doesn't that sort of simplify things a
bit too much?

 

   NO!

                 Jesus said,    Unless you turn,
                             and become just like a little child,
                               you will never get into God's kingdom.

 

 

A child knows how to use simple
faith, and before the Almighty God,
we need to be humble,
and simply accept what He says.

 

 

 

               Jesus said,     "I am the way, the truth,
                           and the life; no one can come to

                   the Father except through Me!"

      And the moment I believe, something miraculous happens!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                                      THAT'S WHAT!

 

                I GET A BRAND NEW START IN MY LIFE.

 

 

      'Old things are passed away, and everything becomes new.'

 

Its like being born again, and in fact that is exactly how Jesus explained it in the Bible!  He said, 'You must be born again!'

 

He spoke about the natural birth which we all experienced as babies, but then went on to tell about this spiritual new birth which would transform our lives, our thinking, and bring us into a personal encounter with God Himself!

 

In fact, it is quite impossible to understand the truth of what I am saying unless you are 'born again'. It is only then that you will see and realize the truth of all that I have said.

 

And that is because God sends His Holy Spirit into your life and transforms you spiritually at that moment in time, and gives you a NEW DIMENSION of understanding, and a new nature.

 

Why not ask God to do this for you right now?

 

All God asks from you is that you believe Him, and are ready and willing to turn to Him from your own way of living and what you know is wrong.

 

 

 

I mentioned before about 'repenting'. This is an old word, but is still full of meaning.

 

It means 'to have a change of mind', and a willingness to turn around and face a new direction.

 

 

Ask God for faith, and for the ability to repent so that your sins can be forgiven, and your destiny changed forever!

 

 

 

Make this the FIRST day of the rest of your life!

 

If anyone is in Christ, born again,  they are a NEW creation.

The old has gone.  The new begins.
